Jewish Community Center (JCC) Special Needs Camp: Kids All Together (KAT) Ages 2 1/2 – 14
KAT gives children (ages 2 1/2-14) with special needs the opportunity to participate in typical activities at summer camp. With support from an inclusion counselor, every child has the chance to swim, enjoy arts and crafts, and play sports alongside typically developing peers. The KAT program, which has been recognized by the Autism Society of America-Oakland County as a model for inclusion, began with two campers and now regularly includes more than 30.
Space is limited for KAT so an annual lottery is held for children who are interested in participating.
2017 Dates: June 19 – August 18
*Please note: You must register for 4 consecutive weeks if an inclusion counselor is required.
The JCC’s Special Needs Department is an Extended School Year provider.
