The Leadership Engagement and Advocacy Development program is an opportunity for adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) and parents of minors with I/DD to learn more about disability specific topics, build understanding around disability justice and advocacy while also establishing a network of people locally interested in advocating more locally and statewide.
Participants that complete the training program gain access to ongoing training opportunities and financial support from Michigan Disability Rights Coalition to educate and organize locally.
This training program is meant for people with beginner to intermediate knowledge of disability related issues.
Participants must live within 20 miles of Lansing to participate. An application can be submitted online here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/LEAD19
