The Lingo Lab at Michigan State University is currently recruiting children with autism from 2 through 5 years of age (and their families) to participate in a research study! The study focuses on word learning and attention in children on the autism spectrum. Taking part in the study involves visiting our lab at Michigan State University for a few hours on two different days. Activities will involve play-based assessments and short eye-tracking tasks (“videos”). Parents can stay with their child the whole time, and play and snack breaks will be provided as needed.
Families will be offered a written report of the findings of the research evaluation, which will include assessments of language, cognitive, and social communication skills. Families of children with autism will receive $20/hour for their participation. A hotel stay and/or mileage reimbursement will be provided for families who live a significant distance from the East Lansing area.
