The groups are for any girls age 12 and up with or without disabilities who want to make new friends outside of the rough and tumble of school hallways. We especially welcome girls who experience barriers to successful socialization, such as those who have Asperger Syndrome or related issues. The groups feature games for socializing, as well as lots of time just to talk. Girls can bring crafts or drawing supplies, as desired. We will have some craft materials available as well.
While the girls meet at 1981 Eden Road, parents can meet at 1988 Eden Road, the home of the Schuck family.
The groups are facilitated by Lydia Schuck, a transition specialist and mother of a young woman with disabilities.
In Mason, the group meets on the second Monday evening of every month.
