The Michigan Assistive Technology Program (MATP) at Michigan Disability Rights Coalition (MDRC) is the State Assistive Technology Program funded by the Assistive Technology Act. MATP works with other organizations in the state to provide demonstrations of assistive technology devices with people who have disabilities in order to compare and contrast features and benefits to help people make informed decisions. MATP provides the ATXchange.org which is an online site where people can sell or donate used assistive technology devices. MATP works with UCP Michigan to provide the Michigan Assistive Technology Loan Fund, a financial loan program for the purchase of assistive technology. This program also provides webinars, training sessions and a variety of public awareness activities. MATP works collaboratively with a variety of organizations and agencies to increase access to assistive technology.
