BCBA/Clinical Director: The Early Intervention Center

The Early Intervention Center is a non-profit ABA clinic for children with autism located in Troy, Michigan. The Early Intervention Center has been providing quality services Michigan families since 2001.

Position Start Date: December 2015/January 2016 (start date is negotiable)

Education Requirements/Certifications:

  • Master’s degree in psychology, education, or a related field
  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst

Experience:

  • 2 years of clinical experience
  • 1-2 years of managerial experience
  • Knowledge of Michigan insurance regulations and codes for ABA services
  • Ability/willingness to supervise individuals pursuing certification

Clinical Responsibilities

  • Client interview/intake process
  • Administration of VB-MAPP and/or ABLLS-R assessments, interpretation, and reporting
  • Client treatment plans/goals
  • Progress updates and reports
  • Transition plans
  • Reporting to insurance companies, obtaining authorizations for services from insurance companies
  • Writing/monitoring skill acquisition programs and interpreting data
  • Completing functional behavior assessments and/or functional analyses
  • Writing/monitoring behavior intervention plans and interpreting data
  • Completing supervision of clients in accordance with guidelines of the BACB as well as guidelines provided by the clients’ insurance policies
  • Holding parent meetings
  • Organizing/holding parent trainings
  • Providing parent training/monitoring data
  • Coordination of care with other professionals
  • Attending IEPs when needed
  • Maintain CPR/First Aid Certification
  • Maintain Handle With Care or other crisis management prevention certification
  • Remaining up to date with current research in the field, ethical standards, and best practice.

Management Responsibilities

  • The Clinical Director is responsible for all day to day business operations and management
  • Marketing
  • Fundraising
  • Recruiting, interviewing, and hiring all new staff
  • Training all new staff
  • Ongoing training and supervision of front line therapists
  • Working with staff to create observable/measurable goals to be reviewed yearly
  • Monitoring staff performance/productivity
  • Holding yearly staff reviews
  • Management of staff schedules and client hours
  • Reviewing and submitting all staff hours to accountant for payroll
  • Approving/denying/monitoring staff vacation hours and personal days
  • Working with insurance coordinator to resolve any claims issues
  • Maintaining professional relationships with families and other professionals
  • Communication/meetings with Board of Directors regarding financial matters and major business decisions

Salary: Competitive and negotiable based on experience
