Research Assistant 2 Student Recruiter, Autism
Reports to Director, Autism
Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures performs duties related to the University Autism Grant Student Recruitment within the department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Recruiting students for multiple university and other training programs. Research community organizations to build relationships for recruitment. Maintaining ongoing communication with organizations for community outreach.
Completes a wide range of marketing and public relations tasks including reporting and problem solving related to administration of a grant between multiple agencies and organizations. Will perform duties at multiple locations. May utilize various special word processing features to create documents. Compose memos to internal and external contacts. Complete wide range of grant reporting. Retrieve information from database and run reports. Screen calls and respond to questions. Follow established policies and procedures to meet minimum life safety standards of JCAHO/OSHA. Actively participate in training.
Excellent oral and written communication skills required. Organizational skills to prioritize work flow and maintain departmental files. Experience with excel spreadsheets preferred. Some basic mathematical calculations may be required.
Bachelor's degree and one - two years experience with above related tasks preferred.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Very good interpersonal and verbal communication skills to screen calls and respond to routine questions from external and internal contacts.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have knowledge and proficiency for Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
