Art Explorers – Special Needs Art Class

During this inclusive art class children have the opportunity to explore artistic techniques and styles while incorporating their own creative styles and expressions.
December 11th – Tin foil rainbow painting
January 22nd – Texture rubbings art quilt
February 19th – Friendship wreaths
Specially designed for children with: Autism, ADHD, Down Syndrome, Sensory Processing Disorder, and Other Individual Learning Differences
Help with fine motor skills, focus, patience, self-reflection, sensory processing, communication, expression, social emotional skills
For ages 4 and up
Wednesdays, once a month
5 pm to 6 pm
Drop-In: “Pay What You Can”
Suggested Registration Rate of $15 per child
(Caregivers can create art with their child for free)

As part of our Community Art Initiative, we’re offering this class as a “Pay What You Can” ensuring that everyone can enjoy our art classes regardless of financial circumstances. The suggested registration rate is listed above. If the suggested tuition is outside your family’s budget, simply name in the ticket amount spot a registration rate that works for your family. No proof of income is required and no one is turned away based on their registration amount.
If you would like to Pay It Forward and help more children have the opportunity to enjoy our Community Art Programs then please consider donating to the program by registering at a higher rate than the suggested amount. Any amount given over the $15 suggested rate will go towards the Community Art Initiative.
Our Community Art Initiative aspires to make art experiences accessible to all members of the local community through nonprofit collaborations, and free, reduced rate or “Pay What You Can” registrations. This program is in collaboration with the Plymouth Artist Collective, and made possible through continued support from the community.
We are located in the Plymouth Arts and Recreation Complex. The parking lot is off of Adams St. behind the building. Come in through the blue door #9 across from the tennis courts, or door #4 from the small parking lot off of Adams St.
