October 9 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Join us for a two hour facilitated conversation to learn directly from autistic people about what it means to be autistic. Individuals on the autism spectrum have unique gifts and talents to share with the world. Allowing autistic people to reach their full potential as contributing members of society benefits everyone, including the generations of autistic kids who come after us.
This is not your typical diversity and inclusion training! We are not going to teach from a curriculum. We are going to build relationships between individuals.
You will get to hear from our members about what it means to them personally to be heard, understood, and included in society.
You will have an opportunity to ask questions that you have been afraid to ask or don’t know who to ask so you can better understand the people in your life who are on the autism spectrum – your employees, students, neighbors, nieces & nephews, your partner, or even your own child.
The first session of Autism Connections received support through the Engage SOUP pitch competition.
