My Community Dental Centers (MCDC) is a non-profit 501(c)3 corporation, established in 2006, dedicated to providing dental services to Medicaid enrollees and low-income, uninsured residents throughout the state of Michigan.
At MCDC we offer dental services for both adults and children. From regular checkups and cleanings to oral surgeries, our network of offices provides full-service dental care.
There are special occasions in which patients are unable to have their dental care completed in a traditional dental office. MCDC has a program for patients with special needs, either medical or developmental, in which services are completed in a hospital to provide safe oral healthcare services.
Hospital Dentistry is the process of having dental procedures completed while asleep, in a hospital’s operating room. This involves a medical team in addition to a dental team. It is considered a surgery and requires medical monitoring by a physician before, during, and after the procedure. The dental procedures completed include x-rays, restorations, and extractions. The main benefit for these patients is to complete all dental services in a single visit.
